History of the Development of the Department of Dentistry \u2013 Al-Turath University College (Al-Turath University)<\/span><\/b><\/p>

The Department of Dentistry at Al-Turath University College was established during the 2018\/2019 academic year as part of the group of medical departments at Al-Turath University. The department was founded with the aim of providing distinguished medical education in the field of dentistry, and from the outset, it included a select group of qualified faculty members holding PhD and Master\u2019s degrees in various scientific specializations.\n\nThe department began its academic journey by admitting 33 students in its first cohort, supported by a teaching staff of 15 members.<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

      :2019-2020 <\/span><\/b>\u00a0Initial Expansion<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/b><\/p>

      With the admission of 82 new students, the department expanded its academic base to include more than 20 faculty members, covering two academic stages, this year also witnessed significant improvements in infrastructure.<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>

      • Number of Lecture Halls<\/span><\/b>: 4 <\/span>Lecture Halls<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
      • Number of Laboratories<\/span><\/b>: <\/span>More than 10 laboratories<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
      • Establishment of the Phantom Laboratory<\/span><\/b>: <\/span>A specialized phantom laboratory was established for third-year students.<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
      • Establishment of the Primary Clinic<\/span><\/b>: <\/span>A primary clinic was equipped with 6 dental units.<\/span>.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

        : 2020-2021 <\/span><\/b>Continuous Growth<\/span><\/b><\/b><\/p>

        The department continued its growth by admitting 276 new students, with the number of faculty members increasing to approximately 25, this year witnessed notable advancements in infrastructure.<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>

        • Number of Lecture Halls<\/span><\/b>: 10 <\/span>Lecture Halls<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
        • Number of Laboratories<\/span><\/b>: <\/span>More than 15 laboratories<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
        • Preparation of Teaching Clinics<\/span><\/b>: <\/span>The teaching clinics were initiated to be transformed into two clinics, each equipped with 26 dental units.<\/span>.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

          \u00a0:2021-2022 <\/span><\/b>Major Expansion<\/span><\/b><\/b><\/p>

          In this year, 480 new students were admitted, and the number of faculty members reached 30. The infrastructure was also significantly expanded.<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>

          • Number of Lecture Halls<\/span><\/b>: 8 <\/span>Lecture halls with a capacity of 100 students each, operating in two shifts (day and evening).<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
          • Number of Laboratories<\/span><\/b>: 20 <\/span>laboratories<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
          • Establishment of Teaching and Consulting Clinics<\/span><\/b>: <\/span>Teaching and consulting clinics were established to provide medical services to the community.<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
          • Expansion of Clinics<\/span><\/b>: <\/span>The clinics were equipped with 150 dental units to meet the training and educational needs of students.<\/span>.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

            This year witnessed the admission of 520 new students, with the number of faculty members increasing to 35. The infrastructure was also significantly enhanced.<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>
